Established in 1919 Felling Cricket Club has developed into one of the leading clubs in the North East with a proud history and a strong commitment to the game at all levels. While cricket remains central to our identity, our focus is on providing an enjoyable, inclusive, and competitive environment for players, members, and supporters alike.

Teams and Pathway

We offer cricket opportunities for a wide range of ages and abilities, ensuring clear pathways through the club:

  • Three senior men’s teams competing in the North East Premier League structure

  • Six junior teams, supporting player development from ages 7 upwards.

  • A newly established women and girls section in partnership with neighbours Bill Quay CC, reflecting our commitment to growing the game and widening participation

Our focus is on development, enjoyment, and competitiveness, ensuring players can progress at their own pace while being part of a supportive club environment.

Our Home at High Heworth Lane

Our ground at High Heworth Lane is well known for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming matchday experience. On matchdays, our fully stocked bar and refreshment facilities are open whenever cricket is being played, creating a relaxed and social environment for players, members, families, and spectators alike.

The club also boasts a large outdoor spectator decking area with seating for up to 70 people, offering an excellent vantage point to watch the cricket while enjoying a drink and soaking up the atmosphere.

Whether it’s a Saturday league fixture, junior training night, or a summer evening game, Felling offers a social and enjoyable experience both on and off the field.

Junior cricket

Felling Cricket Club is dedicated to fostering a love of cricket in the younger generation. We operate teams at all junior levels from soft ball Under 9's through to our under 19 team, with dedicated training sessions and matches throughout the summer.
