More Than a Cricket Club
Felling Cricket Club is much more than a sports club; it’s a friendly, vibrant community hub at the heart of Gateshead. Since 1919, we’ve been bringing people together, providing a welcoming space where everyone is invited to join in — whether it’s to socialise, celebrate, or simply enjoy a drink in good company.
While cricket is part of our history, you don’t need to be a player or a member to walk through our doors. We are a club for the whole community.
Everyone Is Welcome
One of our biggest priorities is making it clear that everyone is welcome at Felling Cricket Club. Locals, families, friends, and visitors can all enjoy the club in a relaxed, friendly environment.
We are open all year round, every weekend and weeknights from 6pm, offering a warm welcome no matter the occasion. Whether you’re popping in after work, meeting friends at the weekend, or visiting for the first time, you’ll always feel at home.
Bar & Live Sport
Our clubhouse offers a friendly pub-style atmosphere with a fully functioning bar. We show all live sport on Sky and TNT across seven large screens, making the club a popular place to watch football, rugby, boxing, cricket, and more.
Alongside live sport, we host regular events, live music, and social nights, creating a lively and enjoyable space for all ages.
Outdoor Decking Area
The club benefits from a newly constructed outdoor decking area, which comfortably seats up to 70 people making it one of the largest beer gardens in Gateshead and a real sun trap during the summer months, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a drink in the warmer weather.
Background music adds to the relaxed atmosphere, creating a great space for socialising, gatherings, and summer evenings.
Membership Benefits
We have over 200 active members, making us one of the most popular social clubs in the area. Members enjoy a range of benefits, including 10% off all alcoholic drinks, while continuing to be part of a welcoming and inclusive community.
That said membership is not required — non-members are always welcome to visit, socialise, and enjoy everything the club has to offer.
