FELLING CRICKET CLUB
Founded in 1919 and based in Gateshead we are proud to be one of the most decorated and respected clubs in the North East of England with a strong tradition of success both on and off the field. Our cricket teams compete in the North East Premier League providing a high standard of competitive cricket across all levels of the club.
We currently field three senior teams and six junior teams, alongside a newly established women and girls section, reflecting our commitment to growth, inclusivity and the future of the game. Away from the pitch, we boast a thriving social side with a fully functioning bar showing all live sport on Sky and TNT Sports, regular live music, and a function room available for a wide range of events. Whether you’re here to play, support, or socialise, Felling Cricket Club offers a welcoming and vibrant home for everyone
About Us
Felling Cricket Club is much more than a sports club; it’s a friendly, vibrant community hub at the heart of Gateshead. Since 1919, we’ve been bringing people together, providing a welcoming space where everyone is invited to join in, whether it’s to socialise, celebrate, or simply enjoy a drink in good company.
We are open all year round, every weekend and weeknight from 6pm, and our doors are always open to locals, families, and visitors alike. While cricket is an important part of our history, you don’t need to be a player to enjoy everything we offer — we are for the whole community.
Our clubhouse features a friendly pub atmosphere, live sport, music, and a variety of events. We also offer fully refurbished function rooms available for private hire, often at little or no cost, and a large outdoor decking area ideal for gatherings.
At Felling Cricket Club, we take pride in being a place where community spirit, inclusivity, and enjoyment come first. Whether it’s a quiet evening after work, a weekend catch-up, or a celebration with friends and family, we’re open to all who want to be part of the Felling community.
