Club Governance

Felling Cricket Club operates under a clear and structured governance and leadership framework designed to support strong decision-making, accountability, and the effective day-to-day running of the Club. This framework ensures the Club is managed responsibly, with defined roles, clear reporting lines, and shared responsibility across all areas of activity.

Senior Management & Governance

The Club is overseen by a Board of Directors, all of whom are appointed annually at the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Board works alongside the Company Secretary, and together they form the Senior Management Group, responsible for the Club’s strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability.

The Senior Management Group provides leadership across the Club, ensuring compliance, financial oversight, and alignment with the Club’s values and objectives.

Leadership Committees

To support effective governance and efficient operations, the Board appoints Chairs to four specialist Leadership Committees, each responsible for a key area of club activity:

  • Bar Operations

  • Cricket Development

  • Facilities Management

  • Club Funding

Each Committee Chair appoints members to support the delivery and operation of their area of responsibility. All committee appointments are reported to the Club Operations Officer and are subsequently ratified by the Senior Management Group.

This committee structure ensures subject-matter expertise, shared workload, and clear accountability across all areas of the Club.

Meetings & Reporting

The Board of Directors meets as required, but no fewer than four times per year.

Each Leadership Committee operates independently and meets as necessary to fulfil its responsibilities. In addition, Leadership Committees meet monthly with the Club Operations Officer, who chairs these meetings to ensure consistency and coordination across the Club.

A monthly report is produced by the Club Operations Officer and circulated to the Board of Directors, providing transparency, oversight, and clear lines of communication between committees and senior management.
