ALL STARS CRICKET

All Stars Cricket is an activity-packed children’s cricket programme for boys and girls aged five to eight. Through eight weeks they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment.

The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.

All Stars Cricket is a national programme, which runs through the club. The 2026 programme will run throughout May, June, July and August.

Kids Aged 5+

All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a participant pack, including:

  • Personalised Shirt with Name

  • A bag containing bat, ball and stumps

All children, registered on a programme across Durham, will also receive a Durham Cricket sticker book on the first day of the programme.

Get Involved

By registering for All Stars Cricket, your child will be guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.

The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game. Every child will earn stars as the weeks progress that match the skills learned during the programme:

  • Batting – hitting a moving ball
  • Throwing – underarm and overarm
  • Catching – small and large balls
  • Bowling – overarm
  • Running – lots of movement
  • Teamwork – fun games with friends
  • Communication – the basics of cricket
  • Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others

Key course features include:

  • A perfect first experience of cricket for all boys and girls aged 5-8 years-old
  • Eight 60-minute sessions, held over 8 weeks
  • All Stars Cricket kit bag
