Mad Dash Darts
Mad Dash 2025 once again delivered a fantastic day of darts and camaraderie, firmly living up to its reputation as one of the standout events on the Club calendar.
From an early start around 9:30am through to the final leg in the early evening, the Club was buzzing all day with players and supporters enjoying top-quality darts and a great atmosphere. All four groups were fiercely contested, with qualification going right down to the wire in three of them.
Following an intense group stage, the knockout rounds provided plenty of drama. The quarter-finals saw the teams of Hodgson, Wood, Vaughan, and McDine progress, setting up two closely fought semi-finals that both went the full five legs.
In a thrilling final, Matthew Hodgson, Jack Bell and Dave Prins emerged victorious after a nail-biting contest against former champions Kevin McDine, Dave Gradwell and Billy Robson. The final leg was a poignant moment for Matty, competing for the first year without Andy Parks, who sadly passed away in 2025.
Photos of the Champions, Finalists and Semi-Finalists can be found below, along with final group placings and match results. The newly commissioned Mad Dash commemorative shield has now been fully completed, marking every winner since the competition began.
A huge thank you goes to:
-
All players for competing and marking matches in the right spirit
-
FCC’s hardworking bar staff for keeping everyone refreshed
-
Angela for the food and Maz for running the money draws
-
A special thanks to “The Dazzler” for his tireless work organising the event
-
And to Felling Cricket Club for their continued and generous sponsorship
As we close out Mad Dash 2025, planning is already underway for 2026, with Double Trouble returning in March and the Mad Dash once again later in the year.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2026.
