Felling CC 80s Charity Night raises £1300 for Dementia UK

Felling CC raises £1,300 for Dementia UK

Felling Cricket Club’s 70s & 80s Disco Night on 26th September raised a fantastic £1,300 for Dementia UK the club’s nominated charity for 2026.

Over 70 people attended a brilliant evening hosted by Disco Stu. Chris Pleasants also ran a great raffle helping towards the total raised. There are still one or two prizes waiting to be claimed so please check the winning numbers on the club’s noticeboard.

Our members chose Dementia UK as this year’s charity to support its work helping families affected by dementia. The disco forms part of our fundraising throughout the year, alongside raffles, collections and the sale of charity merchandise around the club.

Supporting charities has become an important tradition at Felling CC. In previous years our members, supporters and local community have helped raise thousands of pounds for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Daft As A Brush and 4Louis.

A big thank you to everyone who came along, donated prizes and bought raffle tickets. Special thanks to Gill, Laura, Barbara and Vicky for organising the event, Chris and Lee for volunteering behind the bar, and Disco Stu for helping make the night such a success.

We really appreciate everyone’s continued support as we raise funds and awareness for Dementia UK throughout 2026.
